# Integrations overview

> How Dana connects to your tools to generate meeting briefs.

Dana generates meeting briefs by pulling context from your connected tools. Integrations come in two types.

## Core integrations

These are the foundation of every brief. Dana connects to these during onboarding:

<CardGroup cols={3}>
  <Card title="Calendar" href="/integrations/calendar">
    Finds your meetings and powers brief generation.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Email" href="/integrations/email">
    Surfaces past email exchanges with attendees, with timestamped sender attribution.
  </Card>

  <Card title="LinkedIn" href="/integrations/linkedin">
    Pulls professional context for every contact. Full account connection coming soon.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## Personal integrations

Connect additional tools to enrich your briefs even further. These are **personal** — each connection is yours, not your workspace's. Your teammates won't see your data in their briefs.

<CardGroup cols={3}>
  <Card title="Dex" href="/integrations/dex">
    Relationship history, notes, tags, and reminders.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Slack" href="/integrations/slack">
    Recent messages with each attendee.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Notion" href="/integrations/notion">
    Relevant pages, prep docs, and AI Notetaker meeting notes.
  </Card>

  <Card title="HubSpot" href="/integrations/hubspot">
    Deal stage, contact properties, and recent activity for each attendee.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Custom MCP servers" href="/integrations/custom-mcp-servers">
    Connect your own tools — CRM, support desk, billing, and more — to enrich briefs.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## How it all fits together

Every brief Dana generates includes [citations](/features/citations) so you can trace any insight back to its source — whether it came from your calendar, an email thread, LinkedIn data, a Dex note, a Slack message, a Notion page, a HubSpot record, or any tool you've connected through a [custom MCP server](/integrations/custom-mcp-servers).
Use [custom instructions](/features/custom-instructions) to tell Dana which sources to prioritize in your briefs. Go to **Settings → Brief Settings** to set them up.
