You can add, edit, and delete notes directly from Dana. Notes link to one or more contacts and show up in their timeline, giving you and your team a shared history of every relationship.

Adding a note

  • Click the pencil icon next to the search bar, or press N on your keyboard.
  • Link your note to existing contacts or create new contacts on the fly.
  • Use the rich text editor: bold, italics, links, and ordered or unordered lists.

Sharing notes

Notes are private by default. Toggle sharing to make a note visible to your entire workspace.
Shared notes show the creator’s name in the timeline. Only the creator can edit or delete a shared note.

Viewing notes

  • From the contact timeline — every note linked to a contact appears in their timeline view
  • From the note view — navigate between all contacts linked to the same note

Editing and deleting

Edit or delete notes directly from the contact timeline. Changes sync immediately across your workspace if the note is shared.

How notes show up in briefs

Notes you write appear as citations in your meeting briefs. If you wrote a note about an attendee last month, Dana will surface it in the brief for your next meeting with them.
Want Dana to always include your latest notes in briefs? Add this to your custom instructions: “Always include the most recent note for each attendee.”
