Your calendar is the foundation of Dana. It tells Dana which meetings you have, who you’re meeting with, and when — which is what makes pre-meeting briefs possible.

Supported calendars

  • Google Calendar (via Google Workspace or personal Google accounts)
  • Microsoft Outlook (via Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com) [TODO: confirm with eng]

Connect your calendar

If you signed up using Google or Microsoft, your calendar is connected automatically. To verify or manage the connection:
1

Open Dana settings

Click your profile icon and go to Settings → Integrations.
2

Check your calendar status

Calendar appears under your core integrations. It should show Connected.
3

Reconnect if needed

If your calendar shows as disconnected, click Reconnect and re-authorize.

What Dana sees

Dana reads:
  • Meeting titles, times, and attendees — to know who you’re meeting and when
  • Meeting descriptions and locations — for additional context
  • Recurring meeting patterns — to recognize meetings in the same series
Dana does not modify your calendar — it only reads from it.

Troubleshooting

Briefs generate a few minutes before each meeting. If you don’t see one, check that the meeting has at least one external attendee — Dana focuses on meetings where context matters.
Disconnecting your calendar will stop Dana from generating briefs entirely. To do this, go to Settings → Integrations and click Disconnect next to Calendar.
